G1s Wine

Jan 11, 2004 2 Replies

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone has ever had [or heard of] a brand of wine called G1s. I had the white zin at an Italian restaurant in NYC called Bardolino. I know they also had chardonnay and pinot grigio from this brand. The white zin was really good; probably the best I've ever had. I've been searching on various wine search and wine store websites for it, and can't find it. I also did a Google search on this newsgroup, to no avail.

My only clue is that G1S is part of the postal code for Quebec. However, I looked on various websites for Canadian wines, tourism, and their yellow pages, and found nothing.

I'm kicking myself now for not asking to see the bottle. Anyway, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks! Linda

I don't want you to think we're all ignoring you. I've just never heard of it before your note.

I'm not sure but there is a label from Cotes Du Rhone called gigondas, if you say G1s fast it could sound like gigondas
