Not wanting to open any really nice ones last night but in the mood for some nice wine, I opened the 2000 Galius St Emilion Grand Cru from the Union de Producteurs. While the tannic structure is near zero in the wine there is a lot of concentration of fruit deep dark color and a very appealing mouth feel. My sense of nose was either impaired or the wine didn't show much, but it sipped very well and my wife could easily recognize that I was dipping into the good stuff again. I am hopeful that what I liked in this will show up in the Belair and Haut Veyrac that I am keeping for a while.
