I asked them. I, too, like them. I have a few of them. They are rather small, though. They are from the lowest Riedel line (the one below Vinum). Still, very nice for a tasting room.

Isn't that the "Overture?"
Hunt
Yes, I think so. Stag's Leap has very, very nice glasses if you taste Cask 23, but they don't let you keep them! :)

Just two 12-bottle shippers, Dick. We brought out two to CA, so maintain "steady state" in the cellar. Also, it only makes sense to ship fairly pricey bottles by 2-day air as it adds about $7 per bottle. I reserved that treatment for wines that we wouldn't be able to find even at Sam's...

Claiborne & Churchill, Edna Valley & Talley in SLO area. Midnight Cellars, Tobin James & Wildhorse in Paso Alapay in Avila Beach (very new winery, pleasant surprise) Carina, Consilience & Rideau in Los Olivos (also Kahn in Los Olivos - skip it, not very good)
Enjoy the scenery too. Visiting Rideau is like going to a resort for the afternoon, and their wine is superb. Edna Valley has one of the world's great picture windows.

I suggest you avoid Tobin James and (after the purchase) Wild Horse. Midnight Cellars is interesting, although not among the top wineries in the area.
My 2c.

I'm new at this. Please tell which wineries you prefer. The number of tasting rooms in the Central Coast is overwhelming. One of the reasons I joined this group is to get suggestions Thanks in advance.
Barbara.
In the Paso Robles area, where Tobin James and Midnight are, my favorites are:
L'Aventure Tablas Creek Justin Turley Linne Calodo Garretson
I think those are probably the best. However, there are lots of other fun places to visit, including:
Pipestone Le Cuvier Adelaida Castoro Zenaida
I'd rank Midnight in there, too.
Those are just in the Paso Robles area.
Dimitri
Thank you. I can't wait for my next trip to Paso to try these.
