How was the 2002 vintage in Spain's Rueda?

I'm considering buying some 2002 verdejo from the Rueda region of Spain on sale. How was the vintage in that area?

My inexpert opinion is that it was a pretty good vintage. My inexpert opinion is also that most Rueda wines are probably best when freshest. The 2004s are now out. I'd buy one to ensure you liked it before committing to more.

Good enough vintage but definatly taste a bottle first. If it's cheap enough, buy it to cook with, if you can't drink it. Most verdejo will be not necessarily bad but faded by now. Not all, if it was a better bottle it could have some nice secondary flavors to it. But in the end, taste one and then decide!
