2002 Jermann Vintage Tunina

Went to dinner at Sale e Pepe on Marco Island Wednesday night with friends. I found the 2002 Jermann Vintage Tunina on the wine list and the wine steward claimed it was drinking beautifully and if not satisfied there would be no charge for the bottle. What a deal. I've had this wine in the 2005 vintage once before and foundit quite interesting. A blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Malvasia, Picolit and Ribolla. Deep golden in the glass, nose of ripe peaches and basil. Very powerful on the palate with peach, apricot, liemon and faint grassy notes. A bit of honey in the background. Really quite good. "B+"
