NYT article on Mexico's Guadalupe Valley wineries

In the "Travel" section of the NY Times is an interesting article on the wineries of the Guadalupe Valley in Baja California, Mexico's only bona fide wine region:

I've only had one Monte Xanic wine, which was OK but no better. Has anyone had any experience with any of the wineries discussed in this article?

I have had wines from LaCetto and Domecq (mentioned in the article, though if I understand, they sold their winery off last year)... both made very drinkable Cabernets. The Domecq was about $7 US per bottle. Maybe not a Rubicon, but for 1/15th the price, it certainly topped many California Cabs.

I have tried the Cetto cab, don't recall the year. Popped it blind on a group of friends at a local shop and asked them to guess what and where it was from. Opinions went all over the place. One identified the grape, but everyone else got stomped. Some thought it was an old world wine, some a new world wine. It was fun to play along. The wine as I recall was priced at around $9 and generally good.
