Please Help - Movie Release

Hello Ray,

"Sideways" is a comedy/drama movie featuring two men who are taking a week-long car trip through California wine country. Truth is, the wine plays a secondary role to the two guys' relationship problems, though there are a few amusing scenes based in wine tasting rooms. I am from the US, so I can't answer your question about availability.

Don't get too excited. You might enjoy it, if you're not a "guy". I think it's way overrated here. "Guys" don't talk to guys that way, and they don't fall on top of one another on a motel room bed. Not really wild about the 2 leading characters either. There were some funny moments, but overall, not that great.

Pirate copies of it were probably available there on the street for ~$2 the day it opened here in the USA in theaters!

I've been to several wine tasteings since the movie, and asked proprietors if they've seen a change in wine drinking since the movie. They all said, everyone is drinking Pinot Noir, and Merlot has taken a beating.
