Q to old Malaga

A participant in the German wine mailing list "Weinforum" found two old bottles in his cellar:

Does anyone can say anything? The first probably is a German bottling, the second could be from Scholtz Hnos.

The labels are in such poor shape that I can not tell anything for certain. However I am guessing te wines are from after WWII and not extremely old (I am speaking of the age of the bottle containing the wine and not the wine that went into the bottle). I have one bottle of Gran Muscat Vintage Malaga 1816, Compania Mata, that was shipped to the US before WWII. It is completey covered with a silver-colored foil(to keep the light out?) with the label information printed on top of this. I obtained this bottle many years ago from a very old man who had a liquor store in what had become a run down section of a city. He had this and several other Malagas that he bought before WWII. They had been stored well. All had the type of bottle I described. Of course other bottle types may have been used, especially for wines bottled in countries other than Spain.
