Recommendations for Savigny lés Beaune

Hello, We are, as usual, going to France for 5 weeks c June 11th. Slated for the trip is one day in Savigny lés Beaune. Does anybody have some recommendations (or warnings) for that slightly secondary commune? Good guy Jim Tanner already proposed DOm Serrigny, and we´ll likely try to visit our old pals at Dom Lucien Jacob (not really in SlB, in Echevronne, but a lot of their wines are from the SlB apellation).



Any insights and experiences will be eagerly awaited, thanks in advance.

I have for many years bought Savigny - as well as others of their wines - from Dubreuil Maratray in Ladoix - the neighbouring village - where Les Terrasses de Corton is worth eating at. Anthony Hanson says: " Monsieur Maratray married one of Pierre Dubreuil's daughters, who brought some Corton-Charlemagne with her. This is one of those low-profile Cote d'Or domaines, with a range of well-made minor appellations, which gives the lie to those who say you cannot find fairly-priced wine in Burgundy." (Place du Souvenir, Ladoix-Serrigny)
