Right now the Wine coming from Spain is great pretty much across the board and many have told me the $7-15 ones are better then the $20-50 ones. The few I've tried I have enjoyed.

If you mean Montecillo and not Monticello, this is a traditional Rioja house. Their reds are usually nice in the classic style. I have not tasted the white, I am afraid. However, white Rioja is not for everyone, since it tends to be clearly overoaked from a lesser grape (viura, aka macabeo). More about oak aging that about the fruit, and many times in quite an oxidative style (I am thinking López de Heredia).
