2008 Laurent Tribut Chablis nose: stones, sulfur palate: muted at first, becoming more open, lemon and a hint of green apple, lightweight and moderately acidicThis wine seemed tight at first, though it opened up somewhat upon sitting. Not terribly expressive right now, it did fine with the shrimp but wasn't as appealing as most '09 Muscadets are right now. We'll let our other bottles of this sit for a while before broaching another. On the whole, though, with this evening's warm weather and the fresh shrimp (yum!) life is feeling pretty good.
