Almost 20 years on this, but a high fill and a good cork. On opening a bad bottle stink, mixture of TCA and brett. Narsty. But all this blew off in the glass, and over time the wine though initially a bit tired-seeming grew in concentration. Discrete nose of honey and herbs, but a fine mouthful of custard, red apple, honey, jasmin and lilac overtones, just a touch of citrus peel. Decent length, good finish. Not a world beater but a fine white Pessac at its peak. Perfect to drink now, and enjoyable with wood grilled sea bass and salad, followed by a demi-sec Ste Maure.
Well that said the kids are down in the kitchen grilling marshmallows over what's left of the fire, but I think I'll leave well enough alone! ;)
