TN: 1997 Jamek GV Schreiberberg

Opened with a dinner of bay scallops in a Thai green curry (decent, but unremarkable match):
1997 Josef Jamek Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Ried Schreiberberg color: fairly deep golden yellow (almost brassy) nose: honey, figs, apricot palate: honey, pineapple, tropical fruits, balanced acidity, long finish
Overall, a very good wine. Not at the highest level of GV's I had, but a very lively and interesting wine that would pair well with a wide range of foods. No hurry to drink this one, either, as even at 7 years of age it is still very much alive with probably another 3-5 years of pleasurable drinking ahead for it.
