[C] Deep purple (smoke on the water?) [N] Nice if somewhat shy Syrah dominated nose, maybe a very very slight hint of a small wet dog at a considerable distance [P] Low on acidity, dominated by cherry fruit and cherry pits, with a back taste of warm garrigue though not as much so as you´ll find in many CdRhone. Tannines medium structured, oak nicely integrated. Ends on sweetness of ripe fruit. Overall impression: A good quaffer with little elegance, strives in the direction of Southern RHone without quite reaching it. Good value for the money we paid - however, we got it as a gift (Chapoutier vous remerciez pour votre fidelité) in the tasting room in Tain ...
Cheers
