An unexpected surprise. Having lunch today at Papa Haydn's in Portland and introduced to this wine from Puglia. 50% Negro Maro, 25 % Malvasia Nero,
25% Montepulciano, and 5% primitivo. Deep brownish red that only brought drying blood to mind, well balanced with no oak and flavors of hops and pine all covered by blackberry cobbler. Thoroughly delicious with my burger...- posted
