TN Castelnau de Sudruiraut Sauternes 2001

A while back I said I would report here when I opened this wine, so here it is. Nose: Apricot-peach syrup, mandarin orange, almond, honey. Very similar in taste, emphasis on peach syrup -- the syrup from canned peaches -- and almond. Mouth feel was not especially syrupy, however, actually quite refreshing. I have very little experience with Sauternes and all were lesser labels, as is this Castelnau. I find they always require a palate adjustment. That is, they taste strange to me at first, but by the second day or so they are wonderful. I'm pretty sure it is my taste that changes, not the wine.
