The basic California Zin that Cline produces, a staple of this group (The North Americans at least). Had the 01 Rancho Zabaco in hand, but the girlfriend wanted to try the other one, stay tuned tomorrow for the tasting of the 01 Rancho Zabaco.
Bought for $7.99 US. Medium violent red color. Nose is jammy with a hint of spices. A mix of tastes on the palate. A light hint of cherry, rasberry and perhaps blueberry are muddled together against a frame of spicy pepper. Light spicy finish with tiny pangs of blueberry. A bit too short of a finish for me, but still a good wine, 86/100, drink now.
