Betsy decided to make Robin Garr's fish burger recipe (adapted from Marcus Samuelson) last night:

She also picked up a couple of fresh sardines. The sardines did a garlic/lemon/EVOO soak, and were grilled. The fish burgers were excellent, served with rice and steamed broccoli.

I went with slightly off-dry Chenin Blanc , the 2001 Françoise Chidaine "Les Tuffeaux" Montlouis sur Loire. Nose of white flowers, good citrus fruit with note of quince and apricot Very minerally on finish. Doesn't have the verve of the lovely 2002, but quite a nice Chenin. Paired well with the fish. B+

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency
