Mike,

Is not "Vignes Francaises" used as a way to say "ungrafted" ?

Like a good (old) boy!!!

He does not hire anybody. Only 7 hectares in the property and he does all the work in the vineyard (which is mainly across the road) with the family. Tough work. He said that their back aches specially early in the year when they do a lot of work in the vineyard.

Not only that, I have been walking between the vines. There is not a special way to do it. They are very close, and all is done by hand, not even the horse is used. There are not metallic wires such as those used in Bordeaux and many other places to guide the branches of the vine. And not all the vines grow a bunch of grapes.

Best,

S.
