TN: Reliable Bourgogne Blanc

For casual occasions, or just mid afternoon studies I am quite fond of the Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc Les Setilles. I have had the '01 and '02 vintages several times over that last year and at $12-15 a pop feel confident that this is a wine that I will buy year after year.

Though not overly complex, there is a distinct Chardonnay fruit note leveled by the Burgundian characteristics of richness without too much oak and acidity to enjoy with food.

I am gravely intimidated of Burgundy purchases and am happy to have found a reliable source from some good clean Chardonnay fruit when needed.

I tend to like the Oliver Leflaive "Setilles" also, though 2001 was last I tried. You might also try Guy Roulot's Bourgogne in most years, and Matrot's (various names of family members, but the wine is generally the same!).
