Mi e' parso che DaleW abbia scritto:
You can, *just put an asterisk* at the start of what you want to bold, then add another one at the end, as I am doing now with the words "just put an asterisk" at the start of my post. HTH

Dale, I do find the stories usefull as it sets the stage for the social side of wine. 'Who, what, where, and when' are almost as important as 'See, swirl, sniff, etc.'

I like the stories too, although this one is a bit harrowing.
Mind you, the notes aren't bad either! :)

It depends on newsreader, Vilco. FWIW, Thunderbird bolds it just fine. Along those lines, you can /Italicize/ with slashes and _underline_ with underscores in the same fashion.

I, too, weigh in in favor of your style. Please don't change a thing, and keep tasting!!
Glad that most of the issues in your post seemed resolved.
