PS I'm not running out to buy more seconds based on last night. I'd say the wines were mostly good, but only a couple were exciting. Although I’m a VERY easy grader, only three wines of 22 got a straight A or A- from me. Considering that most of these retail in the $25-50 range in good vintages, that's not such a good showing. I think there are other Bordeaux (wines like du Tertre, de Pez, Dauzac, Gloria, Leoville-Poyferre, etc) that offer better value in most vintages. Although I might be tempted if I saw 96 Carruades, 96 Pavillon Rouge, 2000 Bahans Haut Brion, or 2000 Haut Bages Averous at good prices. And despite last night's showing I'm happy I got some '00 Dame de Montrose. Dale
