TN: Servicable Chianti

Monday Betsy made a Bolognese sauce, with a side of "winter panzanella" (bread salad with beets, dates, etc). I pulled out a bottle of the 2004 Castello di Farnetella (Chianti Colli Senesi). Bright cherry fruit, no wood, not especially deep. Light-bodied Chianti, a nice background beverage. B

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
