[TN] Temperature and wine: '09 Brun L'Ancien

Sep 01, 2011 0 Replies

Tonight, we celebrated the bounty of late summer with an heirloom tomato insalata Caprese (German peach, black Krim, green Zebra) and a bottle of:

2009 JP Brun (Dom. de la Terres Dorees) Beaujolais VV L'Ancien nose: floral, red fruit, minerals palate: light, crisp, fruity

Because Jean had found a previous bottle too darkly fruited for her taste, I chilled this bottle down to ~50 °F before serving and what a difference it made! More restrained and delicate, it was more to Jean's liking.
