[TN] Weekend wines

With various meals over the weekend:

2004 Ridge Lytton Springs nose: pencil lead, brambly berries palate: well structured with good acids, still quite primary

No hurry on this wine! We opened this up as a birth year wine for Andrew on his 8th birthday.

2008 Pinon Vouvray Tradition nose: quince and green apple, slightly honeyed palate: off-dry, balanced acidity

Less racy than it was a year ago, but still lovely.

2011 Dr. Loosen "Dr. L" Riesling QbA nose: peach, petrol palate: on the sweetish side of off-dry, just enough acid

A bit simple (no surprise) but a pleasant quaffer.

The problem with the base Pinon is that it can age, but never lives past one season in my cellar, too easy to drink

Just had the 2009 Lytton Springs and was somewhat difficult to drink. Was at a tasting and I don't think they decanted. Quite tannic.
