I have fond memories of working with L&W back in the early '90s - they imported some St.Helena (NZ) wines, and I spent a week or so in the UK with them, "entertaining" during some of their well attended evening client nights - we had a ball.
They were based in Colchester at the time - I was most honoured to be invited to the annual dinner of "The Colchester Association for the protection of property" (The Thieves Dinner??") - an affair which dates back to 1783, IIRC.
As my good friend George Harrison once penned "All things must pass" - but tis sad indeed.
I think their service must have deteriorated considerably since then, judging by my b-i-l's experience with them. Graham
