visit to vancouver canada

Hi All,

I'll be visiting Vancouver Canada end of January for work. Do any of you have nice suggestions for restaurants / wine shops / scenery?

Regards,

I would reccomend Piccolo Mondo just off Robeson st. I've been twice and the food and service were superb. My only complaint was the all Italian wine list- difficult if you don't know Italian wines. I had the rudest waiter at Le Crocodile - will never go back. Hermitage was quite good, not the best in the city though. There is also a fantastic crepe place in the same area, can't remember the name but it was really good. It's run by a guy from Brittany who imports his own cider and Hydromel (mead) made from buckwheat flower honey.

Sunny and 5 deg C. today.......to all those freezing in the East. Better liquid rain than solid, I say!

Here in the UK, we have a potential White Xmas, or so the forecasters say, rare as hens teeth.

And in Oslo, Norway, there is no snow, rain and +3C. That's a bit out of the ordinary, or rather, used to be, before global warming...

Hi Richard, "yellow snow", hope your not thinking what I'm thinking that you're thinking. That would certainly be disgusting. :-)

Have a happy Holiday season and Cheers! Dick R.

Of course "your" should be "you're", and we've had a couple of Tom & Jerry's ... and they were good!

:-) A pretty long wave... You know, of the 10 hottest years on the global record, 9 were in the last decade, 1996 being the exception. The effects are visible to most people, especially up here in the north where the line between life and death is thinner than in many other locations. To stay on topic, vineyards have been planted in Norway, Sweden and Denmark... :-) Anders
