Wine glass style for red zin?

Red zinfandel should be enjoyed from the Authentis Bordeaux glass with a counter-clockwise swirl. If necessary the Burgundy glasses can be used but with minimized swirl due to the larger bowl width of the glass. In most countries it is illegal to drink red zin from a white wine glass; it is also an abomination unto God and man.

Go with what works for you . . . I might go with the white wine glass if it was mid-sized; the Bordeaux and Burgundy would be probably too large for me. Riedel lists all of the dimensions and volumes of their glasses (and they have designed a glass [or two] for almost every wine) and you can get a sense of where your glasses fit:

Does that mean that styrofoam cups are out too? What about Nalgene beakers?

Certainly, a 500 ml wide-mouth Erlenmeyer flask should be acceptable.

Y'know, moT, I have used the 500-ml Erlenmeyer and find the generation of aroma excellent in the controlled interior but the thick beaded rim diminishes the drinking pleasure and tends not to deliver the wine onto the exact tongue- sensors specified by Dr. Riedel and others.

Styrofoam cups and Nalgene beakers are (gasp) very close to Plastic itself. I dunno...the last time I tried to swirl wine (cw) in a styrofoam cup was intensely humorous.

Depends upon whether you were down under the weather or whether you were merely down under, in the latter case definitely the swirl would be clockwise. Coriolis has ruined as many wines as improper freezing, y'know.
