wine recommendations

Looking to get some advice on pairing a wine with tonight’s dinner. On the menu is a vegetarian type lasagna with a butternut squash filling (also included with the squash is onions, celery, carrots, and garlic) and white bolognese sauce. There is the typical ricotta cheese layer with parsley and granda padano cheese. Accompanying the lasagna will be roasted asparagus and a micro green salad with a light grape seed oil dressing. I was thinking about serving a medium bodied chardonnay but perhaps a pinot noir would work better. What would other recommend?

Dolcetto d'Alba or d'Asti would be a nice match.

You may also want to try a good (i.e., Italian) Merlot, or a nice Bardolino..

I would take an unwooded sauvignon blanc, typically from Austria, but one from NZ should also work well.
