531 year old French Wine

I think it would require more than one opinion. you could be biased. They aught to send me one too.. that way we have TWO opinions... :)

Assuming it really is a 531-year old barrel of wine, and assuming it really has been treated as reported, I doubt you will need more than a small taste.

I once was "priviliged" to share a bottle of (pre-statehood) California "wine" with someone who bought it at auction and then was foolish enough to open it, rather than selling it to a bigger fool in

10 years time. It was a memorable experience, not one I wish to repeat.

However, I suspect the whole 531-old barrel thing is a hoax, done for publicity, and whatever profit can be gained.

I think I have figured it out. The wine is basically vinegar BUT according to French laws as long as there is alcohol it can be considered wine with a high VA. That explains the quote in the article about being "very acidic to the taste". It's alcoholic vinegar.
