A local wine store is selling 20l of grape juice for $30 Canadian. I want to make a full 23l batch to match my carboy sizes. is there something I can add to bring the volume up (other than the obvious more grape juice). I am looking for a blend of either Peach or raspberry. Can I add some Peach or Raspberry juice to the grape juice and still get a nice wine with the favorings of the additives to come through.

JD,
I can't help you on how your blend will turn out but one of the great things about winemaking is experimenting and learning. I no longer make non-grape wines but many years ago had access to as many large, sweet blueberries on some land a developer friend of mine owned. We blended it with white grapes (can't remember which variety) and we ended up with a beautiful deep rose wine that was aged in a barrel and was one of the best wines I made in the early stages of my winemaking.
A few suggestions:
1) Have a rational for your blend. 2) Use good quality fruit and especially know the variety of grape 3) Keep good records 4) Let it age for a reasonable amount of time 5) Get other opinions on the appearance, smell and test of the wine.If the wine turns out really well you will need to do most of the above and record everything if you wish to duplicate your experiment.
Good luck,
