Apple and Peach blended wine?

Aug 21, 2003 1 Replies

I have made a very nice hard apple cider in the past and this year I want to try apple wine. I also have peaches and think maybe an apple peach blend might be good, looking to make 5 gallons or so. I was thinking 50/50 mix, remove the peach skins, and let it co-ferment then press and process like my red/white wines? This is my 3rd year making wine from fresh grape.

anyone try this and care to share with the group?

Dave, Is the cider the only non grape fermentation you have done? IF so I would suggest checking out some apple and peach wine recipes to make an educated guess as to the amount of pectic enzyme, tannin, acid . . . to add to the must. (I would suggest

as a good point of reference) I have done both apple and peach wines but not together. I would likely begin it the way you are planning. Sounds delicious already. I sure hope you post your results.
