Labeller Helper

I saw a gadget that holds 5 bottles (750ml) to keep them from rolling while putting the labels on. It is made of yellow plastic with a "wood grain" texture. The intra-bottle cross beams are bevelled.

I have searched various equipment supplier websites to no avail,

Does anyone know where I can get one? What do others use for labelling?

Thanks In Advance Bryan

Bryan, I have never seen the plastic holder you refer to. I use a 1 X 6 inch board that is about four feet long. The board holds six bottles. Twelve, 1/2 X 3/4 inch cleats are nailed along the board to keep the bottles in place. Lum Del Mar, California, USA

This is an interesting thread...I just finished my first batch of wine and after I bottled it I started drinking the 3/4 of a bottle that was left..then I figured I should label the bottles...well...hehe..some of them aren't the straightest labels you ever saw...to say the least...is there any tried and true methods of putting them on?..I just put a bottle on the table in front of me...peeled the label and stuck it...

Only trick I have found, is most bottles have a fine 'line/seam' and I line the edge of the label up with that then roll it on the rest of the way.

Don't worry, 3/4 of the way through each bottle and they'll all look straight again... :-)
