Looking For A Small Vineyard Management Book Recommendation

May 08, 2007 3 Replies

Already own "From Vines to Wines" but looking for something with a more comprehensive pruning and training section that covers unique techniques for specific varietals. We've planted a small hobby vineyard this season with over 12 different varietals and are looking for more detailed info on vineyard management. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Charles Erwin

There is one called Northern Winework that covers things that are somewhat cold hardy.

Get "The Grape Grower" by Lon Rombough. It is easy to understand, yet is very comprehensive. It is available on Amazon, and if you use Jack Keller's portal

to access Amazon, you can help Jack maintain his free site. He has an extensive list of books on wine and grapes that you can choose from.

Thanks guys. I'll buy a copy via Jack's site.
