I have several 5 gallon batches of Muscadine Wine (Carlos, Hunt, and Ison. I fermented the wine to dry. I plan on adding some sugar to the wine. Also, I plan to filter. Is it better to add the sugar before filtering or after. Thanks in adance for you help. James

I do not filter my wine but if you are going to add sugar to your wine, you must stabilize it first. This can be done by filtering it with a filter small enough to remove all the yeast or with sorbate and sulfite. So I would guess that you would filter first and then add sugar.
