schedule to Top off barrel

The 55L Barrel was filled last month with a red blend of cab franc and merlot. The barrel is 6 months old and has had chardonnay in it before.



How often should I be checking and topping off?

At least weekly. Be sure to check your free SO2 about quarterly too, because it will decline as the wine ages in barrel.
