Semi-synthetic cork

Anyone heard of the Nova-cork closure that is a semi-synthetic cork ? They look a bit similar to the Altec but only seen them in picture. Someone uses them ?

We sell them at our shop, but have only had them in for about

8 months, so it's a bit too soon to have much meaningful feedback. Using them myself to cork parts of several batches for the sake of comparison, I find them a bit more elastic than natural cork, and it is therefore a bit tricky to find the right setting on the corker to get them set exactly right, but the seal seems good--I've yet to have a leaker. I'll know more in four or five years, and tell you all about it.

The only name I know that's close is Nomacorc but that's completely synthetic.
