Strawberry Wine

Apr 01, 2004 5 Replies

Im looking at doing a strawberry wine. This is only my second batch of wine, but have been making beer for some time now. I am looking at making a really good batch. Clarity, taste, no sediment, ect. Any suggestions on which of the 1000's recipes to use, clarifing agents, ect to use? I want to be able to age until about Christmas time and send out some batches in baskets.

Thanks, Joe & Jody

I am told this is a great source.

I have the Strawberry #1 and #4 recipe going right now. I am hopeing they will be good at Christmas.

There is a lot of good info in this thread:

It's about doing a pure strawberry, but there is still a lot of useful information. HTH

Not a recipe as such, but might help.

I am not trying to discourage you or anything but most fruit wines take more time than that to be all the things you are asking for. If you want something to send out that soon I would suggest you make a high quality kit.

My strawberry was pretty drinkable in 6 months, and strawberry only holds up a year or two (max).
