Wine test methods

Apr 15, 2005 3 Replies

I went to test my wine for ML completion the other day, and found my developing solvent had gone bad. Bummer, and no one near here stocks any, so there I am with a piece of paper with dots on it...

But that's not my question. In looking for a nearby supply of MF solvent, I ran across information for Accuvin test systems. In reading about them, I've developed an opinion, but since I haven't used them, what do those of you who have want to say about them? I've seen some really old posts about their shelf-life, is that info still valid?

Thanks.

Rob

Presque Isle sells the entire kit and indvidual supplies, the solvent is on the site. I have no experience with Accuvin, sorry. Link follows:

Yeah, I found they had it, as did B3, as then with a few phone calls I found it in the hands of another local winemaker, so I got my test going right now.

Anyone else with Accuvin history?
