Winepod

Talk about an expensive winemaking kit... My wife told me about this; I missed the episode because I was making it the old fashioned way; with my brain and hands...

I'm pondering who would buy such an item. It ain't cheap!

I like seeing the wine perking away in the carboy. The bubbles, the color, the odors, the anticipation... Having that huge egg in your living room doesn't really look like fun.

Might be a yuppie fad item though.

Can you imagine what you could do with $3500 buying winemaking equipment? I could even afford the doghouse I should expect to be sleeping in for spending that much on 8 cases of wine.

I guess this is the logical progression and extension of bread machines...

For $3500 you can buy a fully equiped (not stocked) walk in wine cooler! That would be worth the money if you had it. this thing is just an automatic bread maker for wine -- and somehow I don't think it would work. I guess it crushes, destems, presses, ferments, racks, and bottles at the touch of a button. Course I did not think the automatic bread maker would work either and I was wrong. But for $3500.

Well, I've read all the inputs and agree. But then, I was totally against screw tops. :*) (and iPods, Democrats, and fake Christmas trees, too. so what do I know?)

Thanks for pointing this out, good to know it's there and not here in my house. hahaha.

Well I for one wouldn't say no if someone else was buying. If it isn't devastatingly good, there's always ebay! :D
