In honor of the Giants flattening the Deadskins yesterday, I cracked a new bottle after supper tomight: a Signatory Isle of Jura 1975, bottled in 1997, casks 2780 and 2781, 43% abv. Yes, it's been sitting here for a while. 8;)
Very, very nice -- the unique combination of (excuse this) brine and smoke that Jura does best. Sort of a Caol Ila without the earthy peat notes. And much smoother than expected.
As an added bonus, it has a bit too assertive for my wife, so it's mine, all mine! 8;)
