Aberlour A'bunadh

Laphroaig CS was my fav of all until recently.

I bought a bottle of AA while in Edinburgh recently and was amazed by the abundance of different odours and tastes...

I now find out that it's available in Waitrose! Fantastic!

So...I have my 2nd bottle...different batch...but it's still wonderful.

This is truly exceptional Whisky.

It is to sherry what Laphroaig is to peat and smoke. There is space in my cupboard for both.

I have to agree. The Aberlour A'bunadh is a remarkable whisky. I have to travel about 180 miles to find it so I drink it slow. The Laphroaig CS is equally remarkable. I can find it locally on rare occasions and so I've managed to stock a couple of reserve bottles. Both whiskies are excellent choices for a top notch dram.

I say enjoy them both!

I'm extremely envious that you all have Laphroaig CS. I can get Aberlour A'bunadh at just about any local liquor store. Unfortunately I am not a fan of sherry monsters. Laphroaig on the other hand has become quite an oddity for me. Where previously I could only get the

10year expression, I can now only get the Quarter Cask expression. I'm dying to taste the Cask Strength.

Incidentally, Laphroaig CS has very recently replaced Longrow Tokaji as the top scoring whisky on my reviews site.
