Beer and Atkins

Apr 24, 2004 25 Replies

YO! What up everyone, with all the hype surrounding the Atkins diet, I was wondering if anyone has any stats regarding beer sales since the Atkins diet gained popularity. I see all sorts of advertisements regarding "Atkins friendly" fast food joints and recipies.... and NOW I'm beginning to see BEER companies are starting to follow suit! This BLOWS ME AWAY. Does the average beer drinker even give a s*it about the Atkins diet? I know I don't

I'll do you one better. Atkins is the bullshit recipe of a psychopath. It doesnt work and leaves you dehydrated and constipated. read the experts' findings.

I did Atkins for about two and a half months and even drank an occasional beer. I still lost twenty pounds.

check cnn. Budwieser just launched a campaign with "you can have a beer with your South Beach Diet" This is after it was explained to the drones who are on SBD and Atkins that there is maltose sugar in beer which should be avoided. Budweiser had a press conference showing this is wrong. So f*ck Adkins and his s***ty "diet". He died because of his own "diet". That fat ass.

Atkins slipped on a patch of ice and cracked his head open, you dumb f*ck. His diet had nothing to do with his death.

Why does it "blow you away"? "Light" beers have been popular in the US for over twenty years now and, for a time at least, were the best selling beers for each of the 3 largest US breweries--- Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Light each outsold it's respective "sister" beer- Budweiser, Miller High Life and Coors. Seems only logical that the big brewers would jump on the fad with new beers and/or new campaigns.

south beach sucks to, it's just that qeuick fix fuckheads want because they are f*****es.

and likely eneded up constipated like they say will, if you stay on it that long.

Eat Right Moderate EXCERCISE

The only diet you'll ever need.

you're a liar. The mothership called him back for giving humanity such a wopping piece of bullshit.

I took fiber and had no problem with constipation. You should try fiber because you're so full of s*it.

Advice to self: Do Not Feed The Troll

Umm, he died because he fell and hit his head. What's your problem anyway?

A. CNN is a corrupted media source, controlled by the government.

  1. Budweiser is a corrupted company, controlled by the media and the government.

c: The Atkins diet can be quite dangerous. It also reinforces disgusting stereotypes of what is "beautiful" - a twisted concept controlled by Budweiser, the media, and the government.

All diets have an element of danger. Consult your physician before starting any diet. That said....

I disagree with your 'reinforces disgusting stereotypes.' People diet for a lot more than just looking good. Being overweight is bad for your health on many different levels and diets remedy this problem.

When I did Atkins, I didn't cut back on the amount I ate. In fact, I probably ate more weight-wise.

Never cut back on your beer! ^_^ I drink daily (not til drunk), and to not gain weight, which beer *will* make you do, I do weight training in the morning and kickboxing in the afternoons (6 days/wk). I am really just breaking even. Not gaining or losing. But at a measly 108 lbs, I can now throw the couch around the living room! =)...if needed.
