I will be in Paris in Sept. and I'm looking for suggestions anyone might have for finding good beer. Thanks, Mike E.

I'm making plans for October. I'll take suggestions too! Un Bierre, s'il vous plait.

First suggestion is a simple French language lesson: Une biere, s'il vous plait. This will normally get you whatever Froggie macrolager the cafe or resto has on tap. If they have something like Hoegaarden, then it's "une biere blanche, svp." You might also find Leffe, and that's just "une Leffe, svp"

Bring money. Beer is expensive in Paris, if you go drinking at cafes. There are cafes and beer bars with decent selections on tap. Want beer brewed on-premises and served in British-style surroundings?

is where you should go look. There are also specialty beer bars in the City of Light, with emphasis on Belgian beers, alongside a selection from the rest of the world. These include the likes of L'Academie de la Biere, 88 Bld. de Port Royal; La Maison de la Biere, 17 Rue Ancienne Comedie; and various others you'll find after asking around a bit.
