Chicks hatch for Guinness

Guinness sales in Ireland are falling year after year. Could this be the blanding down of the product that Guinness has participated in for the past 10 years? Bringing in extra cold versions of the stout so people wouldn't taste it. I think Guinness should give up on targetting new "Cold filtered" drinkers and please their faithful drinkers and leave it the hell alone or even better revert to the old formula, as it is now the 3rd best stout in Ireland behind Beamish and Irelands finest Murphy's(and no I'm not from Cork). Actually if you are ever in Dublin check out the Porter House, Temple Bar, who have a sublime plain porter and a very interesting Oyster stout.

But you're from Eire? If so, have you had the opportunity to have tried the short-lived "Pint of Plain" from Dempseys' brewery, which was situated in Tallaght? I had their real ale on draught in a famous pub above Dun Laoghaire, but before I managed to get back to Eire, Dempseys had closed, to my great regret... Joris
