Club on Competitions -- Scottish and Irish Ales

The results for the Scottish/Irish Ales will not be available for another week due to the fact that I did not receive the majority of the entries until the day before the competition.

The deadline for this competition was March 24th. The mail-to point was a homebrew shop that I work at only on Saturdays (two facts you'll need to follow this story).

On Sunday, the 25th, I picked up and registered 25 entries for the COC, with the expectation of judging 25 entries. I had four judges lined up on April 1st for judging 25 beers. On March 31st, when I go back to work at the homebrew shop, I find thirty late entries. I'll repeat myself:

THIRTY LATE ENTRIES!!!!!!!!

I was unable to get another four or six judges in one day's notice so we judges that 'punctual' beers on the first of April. The plan was to judge the rest last Thursday and do a BOS from there. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the judges as they were going on vacation.

The judging is expected to finish on Thursday, April 13th.

I ask that everyone have patience with the NYCHG for the delay in the judging. It is not our fault that it is taking this long. It is the fault of those thirty clubs who decided to mail their entries in the day or two before the deadline with paying to overnight it. If it was up to me, I would've disqualified the thirty for failure to follow simple instructions.

Please do not e-mail me or the NYCHG asking for results as we are deleting those e-mails without reading them. We will post the results on our website when we have them

Thank you for your reluctant support.
