Kegerator Problem

Keg of Miller Light (full keg). I tapped it tonight. My CO2 tank is in the fridge with the keg its a Haier Kegerator. If I put the PSI at anything over 7 PSI beer doesn't flow. If I keep it under 7 PSI it flows pretty good. Very little foam which is good. The problem then is that it poors a glass or pitcher fine. Wait a few mins go back and it starts to poor and just stops. If I release the preasure on the tap and let it rebuild it then poors just fine agian till you stop and wait then it doesn't work again.

I'm stumped. I don't know what to do. This is my first keg and first time I've one a kegerator. Any help?

It sounds like the problem is in your gas delivery line. There is enough pressure in the keg from the store to give you a glass or pitcher, then pressure dies and takes a few minutes for co2 to come out of solution and repressurize the keg. Check and make sure that your tap is the correct one for the keg, there are several styles of taps around. I hope you get it figured out. Let us know what the problem was.

The problem here is Miller Lite. The kegerator is trying to tell you to go and get some decent craft beer. Visit your local brewery and get a keg from them.

You might try checking the air line for kinks, though that's wishful thinking at this point. Make sure your keg isn't resting against the air line, and that your CO2 valves are fully opened (except for your pressure control of course). Fwiw, I keep mine around 8 psi and have never experienced the symptoms you describe.

Good luck.
