I see our local brewers fayre has dropped bass and London pride for 6X and Butcombe bitter, wonder if this a change by Whitbread (for the better) of beer supplier? and what other brewers fayes etc have on?

Most of them around this part of the world are keg only.
Last real ale I saw in one was Old Speckled Hen.
Oooh! we use Travel Inns regularly because of kids. Which brewers fayre was that?
Whitbread never did anything for the better, except get out of brewing. KeithS
I hope this is true, since when I visit my parents the nearest accessible RA pub is a BF (the Moorland Tavern, Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent). Previously the beers have always been Bass and/or Pedigree of variable but not awful quality.
Pity about the pub itself though. Last time I was there I was told sharply to take off my hat so the CCTV could see my face (I'm 50, and it was a freezing cold night in late December :-))

When the kids were younger (5years or so ago) Wadworth 6X AND Castle Eden used to be on tap at many Brewers Fayres we frequented, particularly the more northerly ones.
LOL!
Gareth.
Haven't they always been younger?
