Krakow

I'm off to Krakow, Poland this week for a pint. Had a look here, but it doesn't look too exciting. Any recommendations?

At a guess, that would be Tallinn.

I was last in Krakow in (I think) 1998. The only beery thing I really recall is drinking lots of draught Zywiec in the afternoon, then turning up on the main town square and finding a bar with outside tables which sold Okocim Porter. I enjoyed it so much that I had 3 or

4 pints of it.

If someone had told me it was 9.3% abv, I would probably have had only one pint. As it was, I had a pretty uncomfortable night :-(

As do people in many places outside the English-speaking world.

The wine-tasting, rock festival and superb firework display in Sopron tonight, coupled with temperatures of 24C+, are all very good reasons not to stay home and watch rubbish like BB. Oh - and there's more tomorrow:-)

Well, that could be another reason :-)

At least you remembered it! By doing something you remembered it. Those poor souls who stay away from the pub to watch BB won't be able recall anything, only those that got evicted from BB:-((

I can recall a long time ago in Spain on a very hot evening seeing a family sat in the front garden watching the TV through the front window.

B-to-town-near-Poznan-DTGTTS...

What caught me out in Krakow (around 5 years ago now) was that many of the bars seemed to be underground in cellars, and not immediately obvious.

Presumably they don't have people moaning that everyone ought to be indoors so as not to scare Daily Mail readers, and to ensure they are not in the way of road traffic....

The allegedly English style beer(-ish) "Dog in the Fog" might be worth a try, in the same way my friend from India is amused by chicken tikka masala. Or maybe not.
