A one night visit to see a family member in hospital allowed us to drink at Marble, Angel, Smithfield, Kings Arms and New Oxford, between 9pm and midnight.

A mad gallop and guzzle in the rain, but jolly good - great beers and really enjoyed talking to bar lady in the last!

Not done Mancs for a few weeks, but those names you mention are pure magic!

I'm told that the Marble have a new bar somewhere near the centre of town, serving beer direct from casks. Can anyone confirm this?

57 Thomas Street, City Centre

Thomas Street is facing Shude Hill Bus Interchange.

Abergeldi Cafe is on the corner.
